With safety at the forefront of whatever they do, Bergan has created a dog harness system for use in automobiles that will withstand the forces from sudden stops as well as allowing minimum distractions from pets who are traveling. They are seeking to help pet owners travel safely and cut down on the nearly 30,000 accidents per year from having an unrestrained pet in your car.

As the first humane organization to be granted legal authority to investigate and make arrests for crimes against animals, we are wholly dedicated to fulfilling the ASPCA mission through nonviolent approaches. The ASPCA® and Bergan LLC have joined forces in a movement to support responsible and safe pet travel. Paws to Click is an invitation to every pet owner to join and raise awareness that responsible pet travel is only a click away. Unrestrained pets cause more than 30,000 accidents each year. The Paws to Click movement supports restraining pets during travel just as we do adults and children. The practical necessity for seat belts is no longer in question.  Dogs allowed to roam freely within moving vehicles create driver distractions and increase the odds for accidents and injury. Bergan and the ASPCA® have joined forces to ignite social awareness for the problem as well as the solution.
